NG Ballistics & FemPro Armor Achieve Breakthrough in Women's Ballistic Protection
HALIFAX, Nova Scotia - Feb. 18, 2025 - PRLog -- In a major advancement for personal protection, NG Ballistics, a division of Nova Graphene, in partnership with FemPro Armor (Australia), has successfully tested the world's first ballistic armor plate designed specifically for women.
This next-generation graphene-enhanced body armor is ultra-thin (just 1/3" thick), flexible, and weighs less than 1.5 lbs—offering unmatched protection and mobility. In internal tests, the plate withstood twenty-seven 9mm rounds from close range, with zero penetration, even with a tight 1-inch grouping at the top center.
Innovation in Protection & Comfort
Traditional armor plates are rigid and designed for male body types, making them uncomfortable and less effective for female personnel. This breakthrough changes that, delivering better fit, flexibility, and world-class protection.
Canada-Australia Partnership Driving Global Security
Developed through a strategic collaboration between Nova Graphene and FemPro Armour, this innovation strengthens Canada-Australia trade ties in advanced materials, and highlights the growing role of Canadian graphene technology in global defence.
"This is more than just an innovation in armor—it's proof that Canadian materials science is shaping the future of protection," said a spokesperson, for Nova Graphene
As testing continues, this cutting-edge armour is set to redefine protection for women in law enforcement, military, and security roles worldwide.
